For the third consecutive year Christopher Merousis,  

with a performance of 2: 21.22, emerged 

as the winner in the Men's Marathon, completed  

with the participation of more than 43,000 runners 

in the classic Marathon-Athens route, distance 42,195 meters.

Για τρίτη συνεχή χρονιά ο Χριστόφορος Μερούσης, 

με επίδοση 2:21.22, αναδείχθηκε νικητής 

στον Μαραθώνιο Ανδρών, που ολοκληρώθηκε 

με τη συμμετοχή πλέον των 43.000 δρομέων 

στην κλασσική διαδρομή Μαραθώνας-Αθήνα, απόστασης 42.195 μέτρων.
